Cheating Cheerleaders

Two cheerleaders steal time together whenever they can. Tanya and Pam meet their boyfriends’ eyes, smile, wave goodbye, then the car pulls away. Inside Pam’s house the quiet stretches for one full breath before Pam disappears down the hall. She returns wearing only the pleated cheer skirt and a harness strapped over her hips; the thick black shaft juts out beneath the hem, swinging with each step. Tanya stares, lips parting.
