Teach Me How To Kiss

Laney lounged on her bed, phone pressed to her ear, laughing as she planned the date. The guy’s voice made her glow. When she hung up, she flopped back, grinning. “He’s super cute,” she whispered to herself.
The smile slipped. She touched her mouth and frowned. What if she had to kiss him? She had barely kissed anyone before. The thought tightened in her chest.
Her thumb moved fast. She typed Lily’s number and asked if she could come over.
Lily showed up half an hour later. Laney opened the door just wide enough to pull her inside.
“My parents are here,” she hissed. “We have to be quiet.”
Lily blinked, puzzled, but Laney was already leading her upstairs, fingers wrapped tight around her wrist.
Once they were behind the bedroom door, Laney leaned against it.
“I need to practice,” she said. “Kissing. With a guy. I heard you’re… good at it.”
Lily smiled, slow and warm. “Okay. Sit.”
She cupped Laney’s face and leaned in. The first kiss was barely a brush. Then she parted her lips, taught Laney how to angle, how to let the tip of the tongue meet, how to pull back when the breath grew tight.
Laney followed, clumsy at first, then bolder. Their mouths opened wider. Lily’s hand slid down Laney’s neck, thumb stroking the pulse point. Laney shivered. Her own hands rose, unsure where to rest, until Lily guided one to her waist and the other to the small of her back.
“Touch me,” Lily murmured. “It’s okay.”
Fingers traced ribs, slipped under cotton, found warm skin. Lily answered with her own touch, sliding under Laney’s shirt, cupping her breast through the thin bra. Laney’s breath hitched. She pressed closer, hips shifting, searching.
Clothes fell in soft heaps. Skin met skin. Lily’s mouth trailed lower, tongue circling a nipple until Laney bit her lip to stay quiet. The sheets rustled as they moved together, knees parting, thighs sliding. Lily’s hand slipped between them, fingers slick, circling, pressing, easing inside. Laney arched, breath caught, eyes wide. She reached back, found the same heat, and Lily’s soft moan told her she was doing it right.
No words left now. Only the wet sound of mouths and the steady rock of hips and the small, choked sounds Laney couldn’t keep down. Lily kissed her again, deeper, and Laney kissed back like she had always known how. She came with her face buried in Lily’s neck, teeth gentle, thighs trembling. Lily followed, breath stuttering against Laney’s ear.
They lay tangled, sweat cooling, hearts slowing. Laney stared at the ceiling, lips parted, stunned. She turned her head, met Lily’s gaze, and smiled like the room had just opened up.
