Coco and Michelle linger in the empty classroom long after dismissal. Worksheets litter the desks, forgotten. Michelle rests her chin in her hand while Coco scrolls on her phone, both grumbling about their mothers again. The conversation drifts. "If you hate it, we stop. If you don't..." Her fingertips brush Coco's wrist and slide upward. The contact burns soft, deliberate. Coco swallows, pulse jumping against Michelle's touch. The thought forms without words: maybe curiosity isn't the same as certainty. Michelle's knee brushes hers under the desk, a single warm point of contact. "Best friends make the safest experiment," she whispers. "Nobody else ever has to know."
