Jay Taylor stares at the dress draped across the chair like it's something the dog dragged in. Nickey leans in, elbows on her knees, and mutters something about cheap satin. Then the real talk starts. Jay says she is keeping her body for her husband. Nickey laughs once, short, because she was sure Jay had been busy with half the county. Jay’s mouth tightens. For a beat they sit locked in that sharp, quiet want, bodies already leaning closer. They meet hard. Jay’s fingers twist into Nickey’s hair while Nickey’s mouth claims hers.
