GOTM - Showcase: Aidra Fox

Gina Valentina had already checked her phone three times when Aidra Fox finally slipped into the study room. Aidra always showed up late and gorgeous, and Gina felt the same old heat crawl up her neck. The girls opened their laptops, pretending the silence between them was normal. It wasn't. Gina read the same paragraph three times before she slammed her notebook shut. "This is bullshit," she snapped. "I'm carrying this whole project, just like I always do." Aidra looked startled. "Gina—" "No. Not just the homework. Us. Remember when we used to text every night until three in the morning? When you used to sneak me into the football games? You started ghosting me and I still don't know why." Gina's voice cracked. "We used to be best friends, Aidra. Now you barely look at me." Aidra reached into her bag with shaking fingers and pulled out two crumpled photos. The first showed the pair at the state fair, faces sticky with cotton candy. The second caught them mid-laugh at prom. "I keep them in my backpack," Aidra whispered. "Everywhere I go." Gina stared at the pictures, throat tight. For a moment the old tenderness flared back. "Why did you cut me out?" she asked, softer now. Aidra swallowed. "Because I like you. Like you. I was scared that if I told you I'm gay, you'd stop talking to me. So I stopped first." Gina leaned across the table and kissed her—gentle at first, then urgent. Aidra melted into it, fingers sliding under Gina's soft sweater to cup her small, pert breasts. Gina tugged Aidra's skirt higher and kissed her way down, tasting the sweetness between Aidra's thighs until they both trembled. They took turns licking each other slowly and greedily, bodies arching, moans barely muffled by the library walls. When they finally lay tangled together, Aidra laughed, breathless. "Best friends again?" Gina grinned against her lips. "Girlfriends." They sealed it with another kiss.
