Sophie's choice

Sophie surprised her girl with a toy wrapped like any gift you'd open on Christmas morning. Paris peeled the paper back, ran her finger over the curve of silicone, and smiled like she meant to use it right there in the kitchen. Dinner never stood a chance. They left the table set and half-eaten, moved the shiny new thing to the sheets, and took their time figuring out every way it could touch them. Mouths, fingers, hips—they worked each other open and slick until the house sounded nothing like a holiday and everything like two women who forgot the world existed beyond that bed.
