Ashlynn Rae stands in the hallway and listens as RayVeness talks softly with Victoria White. Their voices carry, wet and low. The next morning Ashlynn finds RayVeness in the kitchen and asks about the conversation. RayVeness lies, flat and fast. Ashlynn knows the truth. She grabs her keys and drives straight to Victoria’s place. When Victoria opens the door Ashlynn tells her everything is known, every whispered word. She tells Victoria to change into lingerie. They look at each other, garments pulled tight, straps and lace touching skin. They laugh once, nervous and sharp. Then they crawl into bed together, bare legs tangled, hands already moving lower.
