Luke sat behind his desk when Angie walked in. She slid an envelope across the polished wood and told him to open it. Inside was the deed to the basketball team—signed, sealed, hers to give away. She had only one condition: unlimited access to the players, to Cory, to Luke himself. He nodded once and she left. Angie found Cory in the bathroom, shoved the taller woman’s shirt above her breasts, and announced the trade. No cost, only possession. She dropped to her knees.
