Spencer and Freya knocked on the door with nervous smiles, two small-town girls meeting their new neighbor Kira. They stared at the silver hoop in her nose, then down at her confident stance, clearly impressed. Kira stepped aside, towel barely covering her, water still gleaming on her collarbone. Inside her living room, the best friends tried to sound worldly as she spoke about the city clubs she used to run, the weekends that blurred, the lovers who left at dawn. Their own stories suddenly felt childish. When Kira poured them water, they noticed her hands were steady, sure of themselves. Freya leaned in. “We never do anything here,” she admitted. Kira opened the door again in nothing but a towel, damp hair dripping onto bare shoulders. The girls blushed, clutching chips and wine like offerings, but she waved them in. Freya tilted her head, showing off her fresh fake piercing, desperate to seem bold. Kira leaned close, tapped the plastic stud once, and said softly, “Nice try.” No cruelty, just warm amusement. The truth tumbled out—how they wanted something new, something real. Kira’s towel slipped lower as she studied them. “I used to feel stuck too,” she said, fingers brushing the inside of Freya’s wrist. “Then I realized I only wanted women.” The words hung between them like an invitation. Spencer swallowed. “We’ve never met a lesbian before.” Kira’s laugh was low and knowing. “You might have and just didn’t know it yet.” She reached for both girls, drew them closer, and led them through the first slow discovery of each other’s bodies—gentle fingers learning curves, tongues tasting salt and nerves, breath hitching in the quiet room. Afterward they lay tangled on cool sheets, flushed and quiet, the weight of new pleasure settling over them like expensive silk.
