Shy Date Night

They walk down the hallway with fingers laced. At the door Anna pauses, their mouths close enough to share breath. They murmur about the evening, the way laughter came easy over glasses of wine. Vicki still can't believe she matched with Anna on a screen days ago. She doesn't want it to stop. So she leans in first. Tongues slide. Wet and slow. Anna pins her lightly to the frame, one hand cupping the back of her neck, the other sliding down over the swell of her hip. Vicki makes a small sound when teeth catch her lip, and they push closer, breaths catching as hands search the fabric between them. Vicki breaks just far enough to whisper, "Come inside?" The door shuts behind them. They stop at the edge of the bed. Vicki glances down, nervous. She hasn't been with a woman in a long time, not one this beautiful. Anna smiles, calm and certain. "Remember dessert?" she asks. "We just sat there laughing. Nothing else mattered. It can feel like that." Vicki nods, tension softening into heat. They undress each other with unhurried hands, every glance and touch saying the same thing: this is the last course of the night, and they're going to savor every bite.
