Sofie Marie stretched out on the couch when the front door swung open. Her stepdaughter Athena Faris walked in dragging a suitcase. Surprise crossed Sofie’s face—Athena had moved out weeks ago. Athena stood there, embarrassed. “My roommate and I aren’t getting along,” she mumbled. “I told you that girl would drive you crazy,” Sofie said, voice sharp. “You should have listened.” Athena’s cheeks burned. She turned toward the hallway, heading for her old room, but Sofie’s voice stopped her. “That room’s a yoga studio now.” Athena froze. “Please,” she begged, “just let me come back.” Sofie watched her without softening. Athena offered to scrub every surface in the house; Sofie shook her head. The longer the silence stretched, the more desperate Athena became. She stepped closer, voice low, flirtatious. She told Sofie she’d do anything—anything at all. Sofie considered her stepdaughter, the long legs, the nervous bite of her lip. Then she agreed. They met in the middle of the room, lips pressed, hands tugging at clothes. Bare skin met bare skin. Sofie tasted the salt on Athena’s throat, while Athena’s fingers roamed every curve until both women trembled, wet and breathless. Athena was home.
