Finally away from home and heading into something new, Scarlit steps into her dorm to find Gia already busy at the walls with fairy lights and posters. Gia turns fast, all brightness and open arms, claiming Scarlit as her new roommate without a pause for breath. Scarlit stays stiff, unsure what to do with the sudden heat of another body so close, her books and quiet nights crowding her head.
Before the second suitcase even hits the floor, Gia’s already circling her, firing off invites: come to the frat party tonight, it’s tradition, everybody goes. Scarlit mutters something about settling in, but Gia laughs like settling is for losers and tugs her by the wrist. Ten minutes later, mascara, brushes, borrowed clothes spill across both beds while Gia changes right there, bare skin flashing in the late sun. Scarlit means to look away. Means to grab her book. Instead, her breath sticks when Gia tells her to get out of her clothes too. Her face warms, her stomach pulls tight.
Gia wastes no time crossing the space between them. The kiss lands hot and fast. Scarlit pulls back, startled by the rush of wet between her thighs and her own virginity flashing like neon behind her eyes. Gia grins, murmurs that college is for trying things, then pulls Scarlit down. Her mouth follows. The first taste is sharp, warm. Scarlit licks again, hungrier now, tongue moving fast over slick folds while Gia rocks against her lips. The night is already sliding out from under her plans, first night, first girl, first time breaking her own rules. By morning, nothing about campus life will feel quiet again.
