Laney Grey needed out of that cramped dorm so bad it made her teeth ache. She found the place she wanted: fresh paint, quiet street, and the only snag was the deposit she couldn't swing all at once. Lauren Phillips had already explained that money talk went straight to her husband, her hands locked. Laney stayed polite.
