Ella Knox and Jade Baker sprawl in silk nighties on the living-room rug, thighs brushing. Jade thanks her for the sofa, says the super promises the pipes will work by morning. Ella waves it off, thrilled they finally get a sleepover. Years since the last one. Nights spent braiding hair, swapping boy stories, scaring each other stupid with ghosts. The memory clicks. Ella fishes under the couch. “Where is it?” she mutters. She drags out the warped old Ouija board and grins. Nostalgia, she insists. Jade hesitates, then gives in.
They kill the lamps, light candles that throw gold across their skin, and press fingers to the planchette. “Is anyone with us?” Ella asks. The piece slides to YES. Jade accuses Ella of pushing; Ella swears she isn’t. Next question: the spirit’s name. Letters scrape one by one. U-R-P-R-E-T-T-Y. “You’re pretty,” they say in unison. They lock eyes, breath quickening. Sarcastic thank-you, but the next line creeps out: I-W-A-N-T-2-L-I-C-K-U-R-P-U-S-S-Y. Heat flares between them; fingers graze.
Jade tilts her chin. “Go ahead then,” she dares the air. Ella’s lips part, impressed. The planchette spells the order: MAKE-OUT. They lean in, mouths parting, thinking the other must be cheating. Air shifts. A seam rips open, something red-black and gleaming steps through.
Maxim Law stands there, horns arched, hunger already wet on her black tongue. The girls clutch each other and skid backward. Maxim licks her teeth. “You called,” she purrs. “And you taste so ready.” She blows a shimmering kiss that melts Ella’s nerves. “I’ve wanted you for years,” Ella blurts, voice raw. Maxim blows the same spell to Jade; fear dissolves, replaced by unfiltered want.
The friends slam together, tongues deep, silk yanked aside. Maxim watches, cocky, then clears her throat twice before they even notice her. “Room for one more?” The girls answer with hungry hands, and nobody regrets opening the portal at all.
