Lexi knocked. Lilly opened with a bright smile and waved her inside. They swapped names, laughed about the neighborhood, then realized they were both twenty. Lilly brightened at the thought of someone her own age nearby. Lexi looked down. "I probably won’t stay long. Rent’s killing me."
Lilly nodded. She’d once juggled overdue notices too—until she struck a certain arrangement with—
A voice floated from the doorway. "Hey, sweetie, I’m home." Serene stepped in, coat over her arm. Lilly turned with instant joy. "Welcome home, mommy."
Serene’s gaze landed on Lexi. "Oh, aren’t you lovely." She let the words hang, then smiled at Lilly. "I’ll be upstairs. When you’re finished, come straight up, darling. I can’t wait for you to sit on my face." Lilly answered with a bubbly "Yes, mommy!" and Serene left the room.
Lexi froze, cheeks burning. She muttered a quick goodbye and reached for the door. Lilly caught her wrist, chuckling softly. "She’s not my real mom. She’s my sugar mommy. She pays the bills, the rent, everything. In exchange, I play her daughter and do… whatever she wants."
"Anything?" Lexi breathed.
Lilly’s grin spread wide. "Anything."
Lexi’s fingers tightened around her keys. The idea was frightening, and yet… heat coiled low in her belly. Lilly watched that conflict flicker across her face, then tugged her hand. "Come upstairs. I think we should see if my mom likes surprises."
They found Serene on the edge of the bed, removing earrings. Lilly pressed close. "I brought someone to meet you," she purred.
Serene’s eyes darkened. She crossed the room, fingertips brushing Lexi’s shoulder. "I’ve been thinking I could use a second daughter," she whispered, voice like silk over skin. Lilly slipped behind Lexi, lips at her neck, palms sliding down her hips.
Lexi shivered beneath their hands. Promises drifted over her—money for clothes, dinner, her own room—if she wanted it. The air thickened with their touches, words melting into heat. Lilly squeezed her hand. "Wouldn’t you like a new sister?"
The last ounce of resistance slipped away. Lexi nodded. "Yes," she whispered. The three of them came together in a slow, eager tangle, mouths and fingers and slick, grateful skin.
