Whitney has the final two on the line. Serena and AJ both know the rules: one stays, one goes. Serena books the night first. Dinner and a picture. She slips a hand over Whitney’s at the table, pays the bill, kisses her under the dim theater lights. Back home the candles flicker and rose petals trail from the door to the bedroom sheets. Whitney’s never seen that kind of careful detail aimed at her. Serena has the lead, but AJ isn’t finished. She clears the dinner plates, pours the last glass of wine, then leads Whitney upstairs and spreads her open on the bed. AJ takes her time, tongue firm, fingers slow, until Whitney’s thighs are shaking and the sheets twist beneath her. Whitney leaves them both guessing until the living room. She tells Serena the fire burns too hot, then tells AJ the fire barely flickers. The two women stand frozen. Only one name is about to fall from Whitney’s lips.
