We Need Our Own Place

Sofi and Adria are kissing in Adria's bedroom, tongues deep, hands everywhere. Sofi pulls back for a second and asks if her parents are home. Adria tells her not to worry, her father's out shopping. Then the door swings open. Her dad sticks his head in and asks if they need anything from the store. The girls jerk apart. He leaves. They sit there catching their breath until the same thought hits them at once: they need their own place. Sofi lights up. Adria laughs, but her smile tightens.
