Megan and Aliyah are two girls on the street, best friends with nowhere else to go. They survive off small kindnesses and their promise to each other. Then Aliyah disappears for two weeks. Megan looks everywhere. Nobody helps. When she finally reappears, Aliyah is dressed like money and admits she found herself a sugar mama. She came back to bring Megan in too. Megan refuses. The idea makes her sick. Aliyah’s face hardens and she says she did it for both of them, but if Megan wants to act high and mighty, maybe they should just cut ties.
